One may say that interior design and a deep passion for the home runs in Allene’s blood. Her childhood afternoons and summers were spent as her mother’s sidekick, assisting with her own interior design business, Allene Parnell Interiors. The two visited job sites, traveled for clients and sources, sorted fabrics together by textures and composition, and executed family renovations and redecorations – all with her mother at the helm. 

Fast forward 30 years to the launch of Allene Designs, where Allene has transformed her natural talents into a growing interior design business. Allene’s passion lies in mixing the old with the new and incorporating personal touches so each home is a reflection of the client. Advanced planning, open communication, and rooms that are as beautiful as they are functional remain at the forefront of each project.

Allene and her husband, Anderson, are raising their two children, Hugh and Carleton, in Birmingham, Alabama, where Allene was born and raised. On the weekends, you can find Allene enjoying time at home – often hosting friends around her table -- on the lake or traveling with friends and family.
